Urban Outfitters beauty mini haul! After a lovely lunch at RA Sushi (SO YUMMY!) with my favorite Boo, we meandered over to Sunset Place Mall. It’s been one of my favorite malls since high school. It’s just a beautiful place with fun shops and lots of nice restaurants around. We love going to Urban Outfitters cause it has tons of hilarious items that we shall stock our house with one day. They had a supply of fun makeup items, including some NYX products I never get to come across anywhere else. I snatched up one of their candy glitter liners in “02 Disco Queen.” I’ve never tried any of their glitter liners before, so I’ve got high hopes. This weekend shall be the test! Then I found a gorgeous Stila blush in “love at first blush palette.” It has a shimmer to it that doesn’t seem like it’s going to be overwhelmingly glittery. Next I found my golden ticket: a Too Faced Smoky Eye Shadow Collection. I’ve been wanting this for so darn long but I could never justify spending $36 dollars on it; luckily, there was a little sale going on (^_^). The colors are so smooth and look like they will glide on beautifully. It even comes with three cards showing you how to create three separate looks. I got it all in an adorable reuseable shopping bag. I can’t wait to try these items this weekend! Yay for new makeup looks to look forward to!

The March GlamBag is here, Glammies! I must say that I’m rather impressed with it. There was a full size bottle of 3LAB face wash MSRP $50.00 (not bad, huh)! What I thought was really adorable was the pink makeup brush holder and the shading brush that came in it. The brush is high quality and hand picked by Michelle Phan just for us! The makeup bag itself is so cute and perfect for spring. There is also a $25 gift certificate for Dermstore.com when you spend $50 or more. Similar to last month, there is a coupon for almost each of the product samples included, so if you love it, you can get it at discount.
Check out www.myglam.com to sign up. Unfortunately, they have been overwhelmed by the amount of orders they have been receiving and there is a lag in the system, but keep trying future Glammies!
Weekend Nails!
My Other of Significance has a lot of fun things scheduled for this weekend, so I wanted my nails to be extra funky. I was so excited to show you my nails that I didn’t even clean them up first. Plz to frrgiv meh? The main color is OPI Dulce de Leche. I love how flesh toned it is but still has a hint of pink. I finished off with some little rhinestones that you can find at Sephora, Sally Beauty or even in a craft store like Michael’s. Note: lil rhinestones look fab on your face too!
Valentine’s Day makeup!
I know red is often a taboo color when it comes to eye makeup, but I figured what the heck, it’s a holiday! I blended it with a light red-gold color to make it more toned down. I used my Red Ginger palate and a sweep of black liquid eyeliner. I finished off with Ulta show stopper mascara in Jet Black.
Little red heart by Victoria’s Secret Beauty Marks set, but you can just draw one on! Even with black liquid liner :)

Who’s ready to get crafty up in this bitch?
Since my gentleman caller has been courting me for only about a month now, I wanted to keep his gift light and fun. I collected some things from the store and set out to mush them all together to form some sort of acceptable gift. Here’s what I got: a bag of chocolate conversation hearts (they say cute things on them like “4 EVER,” and “ALL YOURS”), a froggy balloon, a funny card, and for the main sweets: an ‘XOXO’ cookie-on-a-stick and some Ghirardelli dark chocolate since he doesnt like milk chocolate (craaazy!). Don’t forget to add some mini greeting cards and stickers into the recipe.
My girl Arwa suggested I get little conversation hearts and glue them to the card, so I put my own twist on it and got chocolate wrapped ones. I glued them on with a regular glue stick. You can just peel them off the card and safely eat them. Then I punched holes in the card and hung teeny little Valentine greetings from the bottom with twistie-ties. I just thought the cards were adorable and HAD to use them. I decorated the chocolate bar with stickers, and then I slipped the whole shebang back into the original “remove before sending” plastic slip. I’ll use the cookie-on-a-stick and balloon as accents to make the whole thing look more colorful and give it some height. I want the whole image to be whimsical.
I hope he likes it! :o)
The one day a year you can go heart wild! I like to do it up big and get into the spirit of the holiday! Here’s what I’m wearing: jewelry by Dots and Rainbow, shoes by H&M and Red Queen purse from Hot Topic. Simple things, but when put together are so much fun! I’m going to be wearing a black baby doll shirt and some cute dark denim capris. I’m aiming for a pinup girl look. Operative word being “aiming.”
So I finally did my Valentine’s Day mani and pedi. My fingernails are very cutsey and holiday inspired. Those colors always remind me of Valentine cards from when I was a wee lass. My toes however are in celebration of “Singles’ Awareness Day.” Although I have a beau, I wanted to do something fun that my bitter single friends might appreciate. I’m a big sucker for Valentine’s Day—as you can probably tell.

Okay, so I couldn’t wait till I actually used these products on my nails to post about them. That’s how excited I am! I’m not a big Essie girl—I’m more into O.P.I., but my friend Karlynne is a big fan and always has something good to say about their products. Since I’m constantly on the lookout for an amazing top coat, I grabbed this one: Essie Good to Go Rapid Dry Top Coat. I have a real problem with the length of time it takes to dry my nails. It’s so annoying when you’ve waited 10 minutes and then you touch something and ruin your nail(s).
While shopping for this top coat, I came across the most beautiful Essie polish called Shine of the Times (cute, no?). I fell in love with it. I know a lot of the girls on other nail blogs have been doing great work with it as a shimmer/glitter top coat. However, already having spent a cool $8 on the Rapid Dry Top Coat, I decided to save another $8 and buy something more meaningful. Like lunch. But before I could make myself leave the makeup aisle, I stumbled across the cute little Bon Bon cosmetics section. They come in mini sizes and most of their products are $1. I spotted one little beauty that is “similar” or “similar enough” to the Essie polish, so I snatched it up. I’m thinking of putting it over a bright red. Hmmm…

I’ve been looking for a good mascara that I can use on my bottom lashes. I can’t wear regular mascara on them cause it always smudges and makes my dark circles stand out even more. So for years I just haven’t worn mascara on my bottom lashes. I was toying with the idea of trying out a waterproof formula to see if it sticks. I wanted to start small, so I chose this very basic one from NYC. It’s nothing to write home about. It give my lashes a very slight coat of black. On the plus side, I haven’t had any smudging problems with it yet and I’ve partied with it on a few times this week. However, I have not tried it on my top lashes yet… I wonder…
Hey, for $3.99 I’m not complaining.
